Hon. Felkin K. Dena, CECM for Education and ICT; Mr. Fredrick Nguma, Chief Officer for Kilifi Department of Education; and Hon. Ibrahim Matumbo, Watamu Ward MCA, along with officials from the Departments of Works and Education, visited Jimba Primary School to assess classroom conditions for renovation.

The visit aimed to review classrooms designated for Early Childhood Development (ECD). However, the Department of Works found that the building planned for renovation did not meet required standards.

As a result, it was decided to construct four new classrooms and six pit latrines instead. The existing structure that failed safety standards will be condemned.

This decision highlights a commitment to providing high-quality educational infrastructure and ensuring safe, suitable learning environments for students. The collaboration among local authorities and government departments reflects a proactive approach to meeting community educational needs.
