In a proactive effort to secure the future of education, the Department for Education and ICT, led by CECM Hon. Felkin K. Dena, visited Watamu Vocational Training Center. Accompanied by local MCA Hon. Ibrahim Matumbo and Chief Officer for Education Mr. Fredrick Nguma, the delegation aimed to assess the center’s plot boundaries.

The visit’s main objective was to evaluate the available land for potential expansion. It was noted that the VTC had a substantial piece of land, leading to discussions on its optimal use to meet the community’s growing educational needs.

A key concern was preventing land encroachment. Plans were announced to erect a perimeter around the premises to protect it from unauthorized use.

This visit highlights the county government’s proactive approach to education and its commitment to creating a conducive learning environment for all Kilifi County residents.
