I had a productive discussion with Yvan De Coninck, Director of Corporate Affairs at Ecotech Energy Limited and a member of the Chamber of Commerce Belgium (CBL-ACP), whom I met during my visit to Belgium last year. Today’s meeting continued our previous talks on collaborating in the solar energy, water, and Vocational Training Centers (VTCs) sectors to promote socio-economic development in our county for the benefit of its citizens.

Our collaboration will enhance the infrastructure of early childhood education schools using a cost-effective steel model and reduce electricity costs by drilling solar-powered boreholes to pump water, especially in rural areas. Additionally, we’ll provide solar energy education in our VTCs.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Lerine Kitema, Chief Officer ICT and E-Government; Mr. Hezekiah Mwarua, Chief Officer Water Services and Natural Resources Management; and Mr. Joe Tete, Chief Officer Lands, Energy, and Physical Planning.
