The Kilifi County Government has partnered with COMUNDO to enhance vocational training at Muyeye Vocational Training Centre. The collaboration was formalized during a meeting between Hon. Felkin Kaingu, County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education, and the COMUNDO team. This initiative aims to boost employment prospects for Muyeye College graduates by improving management systems, enhancing college production units, and providing market-oriented training programs.

A key component of the partnership is the secondment of Andreas Hofmann, a TVET college management specialist, to Muyeye College for three years. Hon. Kaingu emphasized the urgent need for skilled instructors to cater to the increasing demand for vocational training among Kilifi’s youth. Marc Bloch, COMUNDO’s County Director, highlighted their commitment to sustainable development through education, noting that experts in fields like engineering could significantly contribute to TVET colleges. These professionals will also mentor local instructors and assist in curriculum development, further strengthening Kilifi’s vocational education framework.

This collaboration reflects Kilifi County’s dedication to improving education and creating better job opportunities for its young population.
