They promptly reached the scene, assessed the issue, and contacted the contractor responsible for the Malindi-Mombasa highway. The contractor arrived swiftly and successfully assisted in removing the stranded bus.
During their assessment, the officials also discovered a collapsed perimeter wall at Bahari Girls, caused by heavy rains affecting Kilifi County and the surrounding areas. The CECM assured that repairs would begin immediately and emphasized the county’s commitment to ensuring safety and addressing infrastructure challenges during adverse weather conditions.
