Today, H.E. Governor Gideon Maitha Mungaro signed the Kilifi County Ward Scholarship Fund (Amendment) Act, 2023 into law. This amendment increases the fund’s allocation to a minimum of KSh 500 million and a maximum of KSh 1 billion, aimed at providing essential financial support to bright but needy students for their educational pursuits.

The Act also establishes an Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee to handle appeals from those dissatisfied with board decisions regarding the Act’s implementation.

The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor H.E. Flora Mbetsa Chibule, CECM for Education and ICT Hon. Felkin K. Dena, Chief Officer for Education Mr. Frederick Nguma, and other distinguished guests.
