Recently, ECD teachers from Ganze and Kilifi South subcounties concluded a three-day training program by the Madrassa Early Childhood Program – Kenya. The program, centered on Value-Based Education, emphasized pluralism and values-based approaches.
The training, structured into three modules—”Myself,” “My Relationship with Others,” and “My Role as an Educator in the Classroom”—provided teachers with essential skills in pluralism and diversity. The experiential activities allowed teachers to engage actively, rediscover their roots, and apply their new knowledge in practical ways.
Felkin K. Dena, CECM Education & ICT, delivered the closing remarks, highlighting the importance of the training. Also present were Madam Rose Erulu, Director for Early Childhood Development, and Barke Ramadhan, Supervisor MECP-K. This program marks a significant step in developing educators who inspire and lead by example.
