This year’s launch of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence emphasizes the need for collaborative action from governments, institutions, and citizens to combat violence against women and girls. Under the theme “UNITE! Invest to prevent violence against women and girls,” the Kilifi County Government and Kilifi County Gender Stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to ending gender-based violence.
The event featured Hon. Felkin Kaingu, representing CEC Dr. Ruth Dama Masha from the Department of Education, alongside Chief Officer Ms. Agnetta Karembo and various county officials. It served as a crucial platform to strengthen the county’s resolve and promote a unified effort against gender-based violence. As Kilifi County begins these important 16 days of activism, the commitment to a violence-free future for women and girls is clear.
