The Department of Education and ICT spearheaded a transformative workshop at Pwani University aimed at bolstering the capacity of Vocational Training Centre (VTC) instructors. Focused on the principles of Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET), the workshop convened educators to delve into key aspects crucial for effective vocational training delivery. Throughout the event, participants engaged in dynamic sessions covering CBET overview, curriculum design methodologies, and strategies for professional practice tailored to VTC settings.

Noteworthy attendees included the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education and ICT, Hon. Felkin K. Dena, demonstrating the county’s unwavering commitment to elevating vocational training standards. Additionally, Madam Eddystella Wanja, the Director of Vocational Training, graced the occasion, emphasizing the collaborative approach necessary to enhance vocational education across the region. Their presence underscored the significance of the workshop in fostering synergies between academic institutions and governmental bodies to drive educational excellence.
