Felkin K. Dena, CECM for Education and ICT, recently visited Mkuhunani and Kisiwani in Kakuyuni Ward, as well as Mbogolo Village in Ganda Ward, areas severely impacted by the ongoing El Niño rains and floodwaters.

During the visit, the CECM stressed the need for vigilance, especially regarding the safety of young children, and assured villagers that the county government would provide support. A budget of 150 million has been allocated to address the emergency, covering essential items like medicines, food supplies, and other necessities.

Hon. Kaingu Ndena also distributed maize flour to families and promised ongoing assistance. The visit was attended by Mr. Philip Wario, Chief Officer for Livestock Development, Mr. Dadu Chome, Acting Malindi Subcounty Administrator, the Kakuyuni Ward Administrator, the area Chief, and the Assistant Chief.
